Many of our puppies live Canada wide. Not everyone that owns our dogs live with in a reasonable driving distance. For those that live a little further away, we offer transportation options:
Puppies flying home with their family can fit in cabin and classify as a 'carry on', cost is usually about $50. When flying with a puppy as a carry on you will be responsible for all details.
When puppies fly solo (in cargo) I make all the arrangements, you simply pick the puppy up when she arrives.
Puppies flying solo, going to a location in YK, NWT or NU, prices are usually about $200-$250.
All other Canadian locations via small aircraft services will be $200-$300
If we need to fly with WestJet or Air Canada, we are usually looking at $325 for West Coast locations, and a little more to Ontario or the Maritimes provinces. Prices are higher as WestJet or Air Canada charge me more for the ticket. I purchase the kennel, transport the pup to the airport, pay for the ticket. You are basically reimbursing me for the ticket, kennel and fuel cost to the airport. I do not make a profit on shipping, it is the airline that is making the profit on the ticket and pet store on the kennel. I basically charge out what my cost is.
If there are 2 families in the same location adopting a puppy, we can potentially pair the puppies for shipping, cost will be right around $150 per family.
I take care of all of the booking details. I let adoptive families know when & where to pick up their puppy. No extra work is required of the adoptive family.
Puppies that are being transported are pre-kennel trained using the same kennel that they will travel in, reducing travel stress. Cost of transport includes the flight ticket, kennel that pup is shipped and delivery to airport. We will do all bookings and ensure all is taken care of prior to shipping.
We also offer to meet up with adoptive families (if) we happen to be heading to your area. If you do live with in a reasonable distance to our kennel, we do strongly suggest that you do come out to meet the parent dogs. Also welcome those that have the time and financial resources to come out to meet prior to air shipping. Have had NUMEROUS families fly out for the day from all across Canada (either to meet the parent dogs or to pick up their puppy), and a handful of families from the US, as well as several European guests (take their puppy along as 'carry on' for their return flight).
Puppies flying with in Canada and off to Mexico, South American locations and most European locations must be 8+ weeks old prior to shipping. Puppies travelling into the US must be minimum 16 weeks of age. Additional health clearances & vaccines needed by your country are additional to the shipping costs as outlined above.
